Poniższa lista prezentuje ataki terrorystyczne w roku 1970.
- Szwajcaria, Izrael, 21 lutego: wybuch bomby w samolocie lotu Swissair 330. W zamachu przeprowadzonym przez palestyńskie bojówki Ludowego Frontu Wyzwolenia Palestyny życie straciło 47 osób.
- Japonia 31 marca: Japan Airlines Flight 351 przewożący 131 pasażerów i 7 członków załogi z Tokio do Fukuoka, został przejęty przez 9 terrorystów z Japońskiej Armii Czerwonej. Na lotnisku w Fukuoce napastnicy uwolnili osoby starsze i dzieci. Trzy dni później uwolniono w Korei Północnej wszystkich zakładników.
- Izrael 8 maja - atak bojowników OWP na autobus szkolny koło Awiwim; 9 dzieci i 3 dorosłych zginęło, a 19 zostało rannych.
- Włochy 22 lipca: podczas zamieszek w Reggio, doszło do wybuchu na stacji kolejowej. Zginęło 6 osób, 66 rannych.
- Stany Zjednoczone 24 sierpnia: W Sterling Hall wybuchła bomba, w wyniku czego śmierć poniosła 1 osoba, a 4 odniosły rany.
- Jordania 6 września: palestyńskie bojówki Ludowego Frontu Wyzwolenia Palestyny porwały samolot. Później pasażerów uwolniono, a porywacza Patricka Argüello zastrzelono.
- Kanada 5 października - 17 października: Front Wyzwolenia Quebecu uprowadził Jamesa Richarda Crossa, brytyjskiego dyplomaty, przedstawiciela handlowego w Kanadzie, którego uwolniono. Terroryści porwali 10 października wicepremiera rządu Quebecu, Pierre'a Laporte'a. W tydzień po porwaniu policja odkryła ciało zamordowanego ministra.
- Stany Zjednoczone 22 października: wybuch bomby w kościele, nieopodal San Francisco. O wykonanie ataku, w którym nikt nie ucierpiał podejrzewa się Czarną Armię Wyzwolenia.
