Blazon:„Gules, an embattled wall Argent, with open gate and open portculli, behind them, three towers Argent issauant with roofs Or, the medial higher and hexagonal, the others round.“
The arms were officially granted on November 14, 1931, but date from medieval times. The arms are based on the medieval seal of the city, which showed a very typical design of the time; a city wall with three towers.
