Cassier's Magazine of February 1897 had an article on page 251-259, written by R. B. Moyer and titled The Whitehead Automobile Torpedo. It was accompanied by a number of illustrations, including this photo from the torpedo factory of E. W. Bliss, licensed to build Whitehead torpedoes for the U.S. Navy, on page 256.
