Christening of the U.S. Navy aircraft carrier USS Enterprise at Newport News Shipbuilding, Virginia (USA), on 3 October 1936. The "Big E" was sponsored by Lulie Swanson, wife of the acting U.S. Secretary of the Navy Claude A. Swanson: "May she also say with just pride; 'I have done the State some service'" Partially quote from "Othello".
