Distinguished Service Order (DSO) (in case), WW1 Order conferred upon Major Clyde McGilp,1st Battery, New Zealand Field Artillery, NZEF. .1 medal- enamel and gold cross with ribbon obverse- gold imperial crown inside laurel wreath of green enamel reverse- crown and royal cypher "G.R." in gold on red enamel encircled by a laurel wreath of green enamel ribbon- blue - red - blue grosgrain ribbon .2 box- black leather oblong case with hinged lid; gilt lettering on lid- O.B.E; cream satin lining inside lid printed in gilt with crown and name of Jeweller- GARRARD and CO. LTD. - Goldsmiths Jewellers etc. - TO THE KING - By Special Appointment - TO THE CROWN - 24, ALBEMARLE ST. W; inside box- royal blue velvet lining with fitting for badge and ribbon
