Opis:
Excerpts from Observationes Anatomicae Selectiores by Pieter Pauw, professor of anatomy and botany in Leiden, the Netherlands, from 1589 to 1617, published posthumously by Bartholin. A detail from a gravure by Andreas Stog shows Pauw performing a public dissection in his anatomical theater. His 23rd observation, "Tumor of the Eyes," describes a 3-year-old boy who died of an orbital and intracranial neoplasm, probably retinoblastoma.
