Opis:
Polish pavilion at the New York World's Fair, USA 1939. Architects: Jan Cybulski and Jan Galinowski, sculptor of the monument depicting Polish king Władysław Jagiełło as equestrian statue Stanisław K. Ostrowski. Steel tower with gold-plated copper shields. The tower (56 m) is a synthesis of Polish medieval fortified towers. Visible flag of Poland. Pavilion was located in Flushing Meadows–Corona Park in Queens, NYC. Monument of the Polish king who defeated the Teutonic Order (Deutscher Orden) in 1410 was permanently placed in Central Park, NYC in 1945. Only monument of the king survived. Kodak Kodachrome photo.
