Opis:

The U.S. Navy aircraft carriers USS Hornet (CV-8) and USS Enterprise (CV-6) underway during the Doolittle Raid, in April 1942. The photo was (obviously) taken after the U.S. Army Air Forces North American B-25 Mitchell bombers had taken off from Hornet, as aircraft of her own air group are now on deck.
The photo was taken from the heavy cruiser USS Salt Lake City (CA-25).
