45. Międzynarodowy Festiwal Filmowy w Cannes
45. Międzynarodowy Festiwal Filmowy w Cannes odbył się w dniach 7-18 maja 1992 roku. Imprezę otworzył pokaz amerykańskiego filmu Nagi instynkt w reżyserii Paula Verhoevena[1]. W konkursie głównym zaprezentowanych zostało 21 filmów pochodzących z 11 różnych krajów.
Jury pod przewodnictwem francuskiego aktora Gérarda Depardieu przyznało nagrodę główną festiwalu, Złotą Palmę, szwedzkiemu filmowi Dobre chęci w reżyserii Bille Augusta. Drugą nagrodę w konkursie głównym, Grand Prix, przyznano włoskiemu filmowi Złodziej dzieci w reżyserii Gianniego Amelio[2].

The navy blue wheel in the center of the flag has a diameter approximately the width of the white band and is called Ashoka's Dharma Chakra, with 24 spokes (after Ashoka, the Great). Each spoke depicts one hour of the day, portraying the prevalence of righteousness all 24 hours of it.
