A Matter of Life and Death – czternasty album brytyjskiego zespołu heavymetalowego Iron Maiden wydany 25 sierpnia 2006 roku. Został nagrany w Sarm West Studios w Londynie. W zapowiedziach miało to być najbardziej progresywne wydawnictwo zespołu od czasów albumu Seventh Son of a Seventh Son. A Matter of Life and Death jest trzecim co do długości albumem studyjnym Iron Maiden (najdłuższym jest album The Book of Souls). Pierwszy singel promujący płytę „The Reincarnation of Benjamin Breeg” ukazał się 14 sierpnia 2006 roku.

Na płycie zaznaczyła się dominacja kompozytorska tria Smith-Dickinson-Steve Harris.
