Ajmak uwski (mong. Увс аймаг) – jeden z 21 ajmaków w Mongolii, znajdujący się w północno-zachodniej części kraju. Stolicą ajmaku jest Ulaangom[1].

Utworzony w 1931 roku ajmak obejmuje powierzchnię 69 600 km² i składa się z 19 somonów. Graniczy z Rosją[1]. Gospodarka oparta na wydobyciu węgla kamiennego i brunatnego oraz przemyśle drzewnym. W rolnictwie hodowla zwierząt oraz uprawa zbóż i warzyw, głównie ziemniaka[1].

  • Circular shape, representing the circle of life and the path of the earth around the sun
  • The upper half of the circle is blue to symbolize the protection of health
  • At the very top three tongued flame, sun, and moon show the advancement of the future
  • The outline of an inner red circle for the aimag center Ulaangom
  • On the lower half of the circle, on a yellow background in dark brown color the icons:
    • A horse for livestock
    • A barley grain spike for agriculture
    • A cog wheel for industry
  • Inside the circle on green background the name of Uvs Aimag in bold letters (in our case in traditional Mongolian script)
  • In the center of the circle brown and yellow sand dunes
  • Behind the dunes white and blue waves for the aimags lakes
  • Behind the lake, a snow capped mountain
  • The mountain peak has a double meaning:
    • A flying white falcon
    • The top cover of a Mongolian yurt
(Most existing versions ignore the "brown on yellow" requirement for the lower half of the ring)

  • Four rows of white waves near the bottom for the 4 tribes living in the aimag (Dörvöd, Bayad, Khoton, Khalkh)

  • in the upper half and left third of the flag a symbolic representation of Chandmani mountain in red, in hommage to the previous name "Chandmani Mountain Aimag".
  • The peak of the mountain is covered in snow
  • Above the mountain the symbols of moon, sun, and three tongued flame represent the statehood of the aimag
