Życie prywatne
Pochodzi z rodziny rumuńskich Niemców. Zarówno jego matka jak i ojciec byli saneczkarzami, startującymi w barwach Rumunii. Po upadku komunizmu, gdy Alexander miał trzy lata, rodzina wyemigrowała do Niemiec[1].
