Barsine była córką satrapy Frygii w Persji – Artabazosa, siostrą Artonis (żony Eumenesa z Kardii) i Artakamy (żony Ptolemeusza I Sotera).
Życiorys
Poślubiła znakomitego wodza greckich najemników Memnona z Rodos. Po śmierci Memnona była przez jakiś czas kochanką Aleksandra Wielkiego. Jej syn Herakles uważany był za owoc tego związku i posłużono się nim podczas jednego z epizodów wojen diadochów.
