Miejscowość jest położona w prowincji historycznej (landskap) Södermanland, ok. 10 km na zachód od Gnesty w kierunku Flenu przy drodze Riksväg 57. Przez Björnlundę przebiega otwarta w 1862 linia kolejowa Västra stambanan[3].
