Waga półciężka mężczyzn to jedna z dziesięciu męskich konkurencji bokserskich rozgrywanych podczas letnich igrzysk olimpijskich w 1956 w Melbourne. Startowali bokserzy o wadze nie przekraczającej 81 kilogramów. Pojedynki w tej kategorii wagowej toczone były w dniach od 23 listopada do 1 grudnia w hali West Melbourne Stadium. Zwyciężył reprezentant Stanów Jednoczonych James Boyd. Wystąpiło 11 bokserów z 11 państw.
