Waga średnia mężczyzn to jedna z jedenastu męskich konkurencji bokserskich rozgrywanych podczas letnich igrzysk olimpijskich w 1968 w Meksyku. Startowali bokserzy o wadze nie przekraczającej 75 kilogramów. Pojedynki w tej kategorii wagowej toczone były w dniach od 15 do 26 października w hali Arena México. Zwyciężył reprezentant Wielkiej Brytanii Chris Finnegan. Wystąpiło 22 bokserów z 22 państw.
Po rozegraniu pojedynków 1/16 finału okazało się, że George Aidoo z Ghany nie może wystartować w 1/16 finału, a jego przeciwnik awansowałby do ćwierćfinału bez żadnej walki. Dokonano ponownego losowania par 1/8 finału. Wolny los wyciągnął Simeon Georgiew z Bułgarii.
