Waga lekkośrednia mężczyzn to jedna z dwunastu męskich konkurencji bokserskich rozgrywanych podczas letnich igrzysk olimpijskich w 1988 w Seulu. Startowali bokserzy o wadze nie przekraczającej 71 kilogramów. Pojedynki w tej kategorii wagowej toczone były w dniach od 20 września do 2 października w hali Jamsil Students' Gymnasium. Zwyciężył reprezentant Korei Południowej Park Si-hun. Zdobywca srebrnego medalu Roy Jones Jr. otrzymał Puchar Vala Barkera dla najlepszego technicznie i stylowo pięściarza igrzysk[1]. Wystąpiło 36 bokserów z 36 państw.
