Brenda Lee, właśc. Brenda Mae Tarpley[1][2] (ur. 11 grudnia 1944 w Lithonii[1][2]) – amerykańska piosenkarka popowa śpiewająca piosenki w stylach rock and roll, rhythm and blues i country rock.
Brenda rozpoczęła swoją karierę jako nastolatka. John Lennon powiedział o niej She has greatest rock and roll voice of them all (Ona ma ze wszystkich najwspanialszy rockandrollowy głos)[3]. W ciągu swej kariery sprzedała ponad 100 milionów albumów wyprzedzając w tym wszystkie inne piosenkarki swego pokolenia. Ze względu na swój sceniczny dynamizm, a także niski wzrost (zaledwie 145 cm) zasłużyła sobie na przydomek Little Miss Dynamite (mała panna dynamit). Choć najczęściej kojarzona jest z dynamicznymi piosenkami, była także autorka wielu melancholijnych ballad, z których wiele zostało popowymi standardami. W okresie największej swej popularności Brenda Lee dzieliła sceny z takimi znanymi artystami jak Elvis Presley, The Beatles, Gene Vincent czy Duane Eddy. Do największych przebojów Brendy Lee należały "Jambalaya", "One Day at a Time", "Dynamite", "One Step at a Time", "I’m Sorry", "That’s All You Gotta Do", "Let’s Jump the Broomstick", "Big Four Poster Bed", "Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree", "Nobody Wins", "You Can Depend on Me", "I Just Want to Be Wanted", "Break It to Me Gently" i wiele innych.
W 2002 Brenda Lee została wprowadzona do Rock and Roll Hall of Fame[4].

With... Little Miss Dynamite From the archive... me (an 18-year-old reporter) trying to be terribly nonchalant with 1960s mega-star Brenda Lee at the Sutton Granada on 8 April 1962. Brenda Lee was hugely popular in the 1960s, and particularly so in the UK, where she toured frequently. Her hits included Let's Jump the Broomstick, Speak To Me Pretty, Here Comes That Feeling, and her two biggies - I'm Sorry and Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree (which to this day, is still played worldwide in December). Just 4ft 9ins in height, she was known as 'Little Miss Dynamite' - a nickname which totally matched her performances.
