Sezon 1985 w PPG CART Indy Car World Series był siódmą edycją tej serii wyścigowej. Rozpoczął się 14 kwietnia a zakończył się po 15 wyścigach 9 listopada.
Tytuł mistrzowski zdobył Al Unser z zespołu Penske Racing wyprzedzając w klasyfikacji generalnej o jeden punkt swojego syna, Ala Unsera Jr. Tytuł najlepszego nowicjusza (Rookie of the year) zdobył Arie Luyendyk.
