Chenorhamphus – rodzaj ptaka z rodziny chwostkowatych (Maluridae).
Występowanie
Rodzaj obejmuje gatunki występujące na Nowej Gwinei[3].
Morfologia
Długość ciała 14–14,5 cm, masa ciała 14–17 g[4].
Systematyka
Nazewnictwo
Nazwa rodzajowa pochodzi z języka greckiego i oznacza „gęsi dziób” (χην khen, dopełniacz χηνος khenos – „gęś” oraz ῥαμφος rhamphos – „dziób”)[5].
Podział systematyczny
Takson niedawno wyodrębniony z rodzaju Malurus[6][7]. Gatunkiem typowym jest Chenorhamphus cyanopectus (= Todopsis grayi). Do rodzaju należą dwa gatunki[8]:
- Chenorhamphus grayi – modrochwostka szerokodzioba
- Chenorhamphus campbelli – modrochwostka rdzawogrzbieta – takson wyodrębniony ostatnio na podstawie badań molekularnych z C. grayi[6].
