Chicopee (Wymowa:ˈtʃɪkəpi) – miasto w Stanach Zjednoczonych, w stanie Massachusetts, przy ujściu rzeki Chicopee do rzeki Connecticut. Około 54,6 tys. mieszkańców.
Demografia
Początkowo dominującymi historycznie, byli imigranci z Polski i francuscy Kanadyjczycy, ale obecnie miasto zamieszkane jest przez ludzi wielu kultur, jednocześnie zachowując swój historyczny i etniczny urok.
W związku z polskim pochodzeniem mieszkańców Chicopee, dużo podmiotów gospodarczych polsko-amerykańskich ma swą siedzibę w Chicopee. Należą do nich między innymi Chicopee Provision Company, liczący się producent polskiej kiełbasy pod marką Blue Seal i Millie's Pierogi Company, producent tradycyjnych polskich pierogów.
Gospodarka
W mieście rozwinął się przemysł elektrotechniczny, gumowy, chemiczny oraz włókienniczy[2]. Ponadto produkuje się tutaj sprzęt sportowy[2].
Festiwal
Chicopee organizuje coroczne święto kiełbasy w Fairfield Mall (obecnie Chicopee Crossing na Memorial Drive) od połowy lat 1990. Podczas festiwalu od wielu lat odbywa się konkurs na Największą kiełbasę na świecie (kilka razy kiełbasa z Chicopee przegrała z kiełbasą z Krakowa).

W 1991 roku kościół św. Stanisława Biskupa i Męczennika przy Front Street został ogłoszony bazyliką mniejszą przez papieża Jana Pawła II.

The flag of Navassa Island is simply the United States flag. It does not have a "local" flag or "unofficial" flag; it is an uninhabited island. The version with a profile view was based on Flags of the World and as a fictional design has no status warranting a place on any Wiki. It was made up by a random person with no connection to the island, it has never flown on the island, and it has never received any sort of recognition or validation by any authority. The person quoted on that page has no authority to bestow a flag, "unofficial" or otherwise, on the island.

The City shall adopt and hereby does adopt a City flag, in detail as follows: Said flag shall have a white field; in the center of said white field on both the front and reverse thereof shall be a silver shield argent upon a field of azure, with olive branch fruited proper, a white ribbon across the shield upon which shall appear the words in gold "Industriae variae," all within a circle bearing at the top the inscription in gold "City of Chicopee" and at the bottom the inscription in gold "Town 1848: City 1890."
