Crown

Awers i rewers korony Henryka VIII

Korona (ang. Crown) wcześniej zwana koroną podwójnej róży (ang. Crown of the double rose) – brytyjska jednostka monetarna o wartości 5 szylingów, wprowadzona przez reformę monetarną króla Henryka VIII; w obiegu w latach 1526-1965.

In his study of Henry’s testoons, Jacob noted that the dies used for this coin were altered by the addition of the pellet-in-annulet at the end of the legends. While other dies were made with this added mark, these dies are the only ones known to have been altered from the earlier emission without the mark.
