Boat lift on the Yenisei at Krasnoyarsk Dam in Russia. It serves to provide river vessels access to the Krasnoyarsk reservoir. The lift is designed as an electric rack railway with hydrostatic drive and punch rack. The route contains not only bridges, but also a gigantic turntable. The cog railway is about 2 kilometers long, transports ships up to 1500 t, overcomes a difference in altitude of 118 m and was completed in 1982. The power is supplied by four pantographs, which are mounted on two platforms and sweep the catenary that can be seen in the picture to the right of the route.
