W Grupie Światowej II wystąpiły następujące reprezentacje:
- Austria, Belgia, Japonia i Czechy po porażkach w barażach Grupy Światowej I 2007
- Ukraina, Argentyna, Chorwacja i Słowacja po zwycięstwach w barażach Grupy Światowej II w 2007 roku
Reprezentacja Polski
Reprezentantki Polski: singlistki – Agnieszka Radwańska, Urszula Radwańska, deblistki – Klaudia Jans, Alicja Rosolska i rezerwowa Katarzyna Piter występowały w rozgrywkach Grupy Euroafrykańskiej I. W fazie grupowej przegrały oba mecze (z Rumunią 0:3 i z Serbią 1:2). W meczu o utrzymanie wygrały z Gruzją.
