Giethoorn – wieś w holenderskiej prowincji Overijssel. Znajduje się w gminie Steenwijkerland, ok. 5 km na południowy zachód od Steenwijk[1].
Miejscowość ta jest nazywana Wenecją Północy[1][2][3][4][5][6] lub Wenecją Holandii[1][4][7][8] (Holendrów[9]). W starej części Giethoorn nie ma żadnych dróg[4], poza ścieżkami rowerowymi[3].
Została założona ok. 1230 roku[4] przez grupę uchodźców z krajów śródziemnomorskich[6][8]. Początkowo nosiła nazwę Geytenhorn[8]. W 1421 wieś została zalana w wyniku powodzi[10].
Wieś stała się popularniejsza po tym, gdy Bert Haanstra nakręcił w niej w 1958 roku komedię „Fanfare”[6][11][12][10].
Giethoorn było osobną gminą do 1973, kiedy stało się częścią Brederwiede[13].
W 2015 roku stała się częścią gry Monopoly[14][15][16].
