Pierwsze Halowe Mistrzostwa Świata w Hokeju na Trawie rozegrane zostały w Lipsku, w Niemczech, w dniach 5-9 lutego 2003.

Tytuły wywalczyła męska i żeńska reprezentacja Niemiec. Męska reprezentacja Polski zdobyła medal srebrny. Polki nie startowały.
