Bieg na 3000 metrów mężczyzn – jedna z konkurencji rozegranych podczas 14. Halowych Mistrzostw Świata w Ataköy Atletizm Salonu w Stambule.
Biegi eliminacyjne zaplanowano na piątek 9 marca, finał zaplanowano na niedzielę 11 marca.
Tytuł mistrzowski z 2010 roku obronił Amerykanin Bernard Lagat[1][2].
Według stanu sprzed mistrzostw: halowym rekordzistą świata w biegu na 3000 metrów był Kenijczyk Daniel Komen, który 6 lutego 1998 w Budapeszcie uzyskał czas 7:24,90. Najszybszymi biegaczami w sezonie halowym 2012 na tym dystansie byli Augustine Choge i Edwin Soi (7:29,94 – 12 lutego, Karlsruhe).
