Nazwa
Nazwa hrabstwa pochodzi od nazwiska George'a Troupa (1780–1856), gubernatora Georgii w okresie antebellum.
Geografia
Według spisu z 2010 obszar całkowity hrabstwa obejmuje powierzchnię 445,96 mil2 (1155 km2), z czego 413,90 mil2 (1072 km2) stanowią lądy, a 32,06 mil2 (83 km2) stanowią wody. Według szacunków United States Census Bureau w roku 2010 miało 67 044 mieszkańców[2]. Jego siedzibą administracyjną jest LaGrange.
