W dniu 1 stycznia 2019 roku z połączenia dwóch ówczesnych gmin – Intres oraz Saint-Julien-Boutières – powstała nowa gmina Saint-Julien-d'Intres. Siedzibą gminy została miejscowość Intres^[2].
