Kate Miller-Heidke (ur. 16 listopada 1981 w Brisbane) – australijska piosenkarka, autorka tekstów i aktorka.
Życiorys
Wczesne lata
Studiowała w Konserwatorium Muzycznym w Queensland. W latach 2000–2002 występowała w spektaklach muzycznych wystawianych przez uczelnię, takich jak m.in. Underworld (2000), Going Into Shadows (2001), Suor Angelica, Progress i Venus and Adonis (2002)[3]. W latach 2002–2003 występowała gościnnie w koncertach świątecznych organizowanych przez Centrum Sztuki w Queensland u boku Todda McKenneya w 2002 i Toma Burlinsona w 2003[3]. Była także solistką Orkiestry Queensland[3].
W trakcie studiów została wyróżniona kilkoma nagrodami muzycznymi, w tym m.in. Nagrodą im. Donalda Penmana (2001) czy Nagrodą im. Horace’a Keatsa (2002)[3].
W 2004 została członkinią Programu Rozwoju Artystów Opery w Queensland[3].
Kariera
W 2000 była jedną z założycielek zespołu Elsewhere, z którym wydała jedną EP-kę. Zespół rozpadł się w 2004[1].
Od 2004 występuje solowo, wydała wówczas debiutancką EP-kę, zatytułowaną Telegram. W 2005 wydała drugi minialbum, pt. Comikaze, a także zdobyła Nagrodę Helpmanna za występ w corocznym koncercie Women in Voice 14[4]. W 2007 wydała swój debiutancki album studyjny, zatytułowany Little Eve, a w 2008 – drugą płytę, pt. Curiouser[1], z której pochodzą przeboje: „Last Day on Earth” i „Caught in the Crowd”[2].
W 2011 wydała album studyjny, zatytułowany Fatty Gets a Stylist, który nagrała ze swym zespołem o tej samej nazwie. Krążek ukazał się również na amerykańskim rynku muzycznym pod zmienionym tytułem (Liberty Bell) i był promowany jako trzecia solowa płyta piosenkarki[1]. W 2012 wydała kolejny solowy album, pt. Nightflight[1], z którym dotarła do drugiego miejsca australijskiej listy najczęściej kupowanych albumów[2]. W 2014 zaprezentowała następną płytę pt. O Vertigo![1], z którą zadebiutowała na czwartym miejscu australijskiej listy sprzedaży i za którą uzyskała nominację do nagród ARIA[2].
Występowała z Metropolitan Opera w Nowym Jorku i Angielską Operą Narodową[2]. Jest autorką opery dla dzieci pod tytułem The Rabbits oraz ścieżki dźwiękowej do musicalu Muriel’s Wedding: The Musical[2].
W lutym 2019 z piosenką „Zero Gravity” wygrała w finale programu Eurovision – Australia Decides, będącego australijskimi eliminacjami do 64. Konkursu Piosenki Eurowizji rozgrywanego w Tel Awiwie. Zdobywszy 135 punktów, zajęła pierwsze miejsce w selekcjach, dzięki czemu została ogłoszona reprezentantką Australii w konkursie. 14 maja wystąpiła w pierwszym półfinale widowiska i z pierwszego miejsca zakwalifikowała się do finału, który został rozegrany 18 maja.[2]. Wystąpiła w nim z dwudziestym piątym numerem startowym i zajęła 9. miejsce po zdobyciu 284 punktów w tym 131 punktów od telewidzów (7. miejsce) i 153 pkt od jurorów (6. miejsce).

Tropfest 2013 on tonight: Sydney, Australia; Red carpet and awards update – Kate Miller-Heidke
Not many festivals can claim the title of being Australia’s most prestigious short film festival and largest short film festival in the world at the same time. Such is the stage of Tropfest – one of Australia’s most iconic cultural events.
From its humble beginnings in 1993 as a screening for 200 people in a Sydney cafe, Tropfest has grown its audience reach to approximately 150,000 people and expanded to global cities including Abu Dhabi, London, Toronto, Berlin, Bangkok and New York.
Open to anyone who wishes to enter, the annual short film competition provides unique platforms for emerging filmmakers through its events and initiatives. Past judges include high profile film personalities such as Nicole Kidman, Cate Blanchett, Naomi Watts, Russell Crowe and Keanu Reeves, just to name a few. All films are made especially for Tropfest and include the Tropfest Signature Item (TSI), which changes each year. The 2013 TSI is “Balloon”.
Free to attend, Tropfest is an outdoor celebration complete with live music and entertainment, public catering and bars, red carpet arrivals and the highly anticipated film screenings followed by an award ceremony.

About Tropfest...
Tropfest is the largest short film festival in the world and the first truly international film festival. It is also the world’s most exciting platform for up and coming film makers to gain international exposure.
Scores of films made for and screened at Tropfest have gone on to gain commercial distribution. And literally dozens of Tropfest filmmakers have had local and international careers launched as a result of their work being seen in front of thousands of people – including many of the most respected professionals in the film world. The festival is judged by a panel of distinguished industry professionals. Previous judges have included George Miller, Naomi Watts, Elijah Wood, Toni Collette, Salma Hayek, Russell Crowe, Nicole Kidman, Baz Luhrmann, Ewan McGregor, Darren Aronofsky, Will Smith, Bryan Singer and many others!
Tropfest was established to encourage production, not just exhibition. Consequently, an annual, randomly-chosen item (known as the Tropfest Signature Item or 'TSI') must be included in each film to show it was made specifically for the festival. We believe that practice makes perfect; only by honing his or her craft will a filmmaker continue to refine their story-telling abilities.
Our mission is to continue to develop the most exciting forum in the world for audiences to come together and celebrate premium short films; and to continue to offer filmmakers a bigger and better platform from which to launch their professional careers.
Tropfest continues to expand internationally. The inaugural Tropfest Arabia was held in Abu Dhabi in November 2011; Tropfest New York and Tropfest Vegas will both be held in June 2012; and Tropfest New Zealand will be held in January 2013. Discussions are underway to bring Tropfest to more destinations around the world including Beijing, Paris, London and Singapore.
