Kenan (hebr. קֵינָן) – postać występująca w Księdze Rodzaju oraz w dziele rabinicznym zaliczającym się do gatunku midrasz – Księdze Jubileuszów.
Księga Rodzaju (rozdział 5) podaje, iż jego ojcem był Enosz (spłodził go w wieku 90 lat) a synem Mahalaleel. Żył 910 lat.[1]
Księga Jubileuszów (rozdział 4) podaje również imię jego matki – Nom, imię jego żony i zarazem siostry – Meleleth, oraz syna – Rasujal[2].
Gdy Kenan miał lat siedemdziesiąt, urodził mu się Mahalaleel. A po urodzeniu mu się Mahalaleela żył Kenan osiemset czterdzieści lat i miał synów i córki. I gdy Kenan przeżył ogółem dziewięćset dziesięć lat, umarł.

Forefather Kainan is depicted in full growth, turned to the central image; dressed in clothes traditional for the dilapidated forefathers - a tunic and a himation. In his right hand he holds an unfolded scroll with the text of the prophecy. The margins, backgrounds and nimbus on the icon are covered with a copper basma oklad. Cainan is the eldest son of Enos, the grandson of Seth, the great-grandson of the first people - Adam and Eve. He is one of the ten patriarchs who lived before the Flood. Like all antediluvian patriarchs, Cainan was endowed with extraordinary longevity to serve as a living guardian and interpreter of entrusted promise. He lived 910 years.
