Kariera
W 1966 roku Nelson zajął drugie miejsce w kategorii lekkopółśredniej na igrzyskach Ameryki Środkowej i Karaibów, które rozgrywane były w San Juan. W finale rywalem Jamajczyka był Wenezuelczyk Guillermo Salcedo, który wygrał na punkty, zdobywając złoty medal[1].
