Przedsiębiorstwo Kingston Technology zostało założone przez tajwańskiego imigranta, Johna Tu. Kingston posiada zaplecze produkcyjne i logistyczne w Stanach Zjednoczonych, Wielkiej Brytanii, Irlandii, Republice Chińskiej oraz w Chinach[1].
