Die weithin sichtbare röm.-kath. Pfarrkirche von Kottes ist dem Fest Mariä Himmelfahrt geweiht. Chor und Turmunterbau stammen aus der 1. Hälfte des 14. Jahrhunderts und das Langhaus aus dem 1. Viertel des 16. Jahrhunderts. Der Turm wurde zur Barockzeit um das Schallgeschoss erhöht und erhielt einen Zwiebelhelm.
