"In Blau eine silberne (weiße) Glocke." Das Wappen basiert auf einem Siegel der Gemeinde. Es ist unklar ob es sich auf die mundartliche Bezeichnung "Lütgenbömmel" ("Bömmel" =Glocke) oder auf das Wappen der Familie "Lütykendorpe", welche bei Harpen wohnte bezieht. Das Wappen wird meistens mit Helm und Wappenmantel gezeigt und das Gesamtbild wiederum in einem Schild (heraldisch nicht korrekt).
