Rzut oszczepem kobiet podczas XVIII Letnich Igrzysk Olimpijskich w Tokio rozegrano 16 października 1964 (kwalifikacje i finał) na Stadionie Olimpijskim w Tokio. Zwyciężczynią została Rumunka Mihaela Peneș. W kwalifikacjach Jelena Gorczakowa ze Związku Radzieckiego ustanowiła rekord świata wynikiem 62,40 m[1]. W finale Gorczakowa zdobyła brązowy medal, taki sam jak 12 lat wcześniej podczas igrzysk olimpijskich w Helsinkach
