Meksyk jest największym miastem w Meksyku i jednym z największych na świecie. Znajduje się tutaj wiele wysokich budynków. 4 sięgają ponad 200 metrów wysokości. Ponad 120 metrów ma około 80 budynków. Większość z nich powstała w latach 80., jednak generalnie powstawały one tu dość systematycznie z biegiem lat. Pierwszy drapacz chmur mający ponad 100 metrów powstał tu w roku 1952 i był to 120-metrowy Miguel E Abed. W zaledwie 4 lata później powstał znany Torre Latinoamericana. Obecnie także budowane są nowe wieżowce.
