U.S. Navy Grumman F-14A Tomcats from Fighter Squadrons 14 (VF-14) "Tomcatters" and VF-41 "Black Aces" prepare to take off from the flight deck of the aircraft carrier USS Enterprise (CVN-65) a final time on 9 November 2001. This was the last time the F-14 Tomcat was deployed on the carrier. Both squadrons were assigned to Carrier Air Wing 8 (CVW-8) aboard the Enterprise for a deployment to the Mediterranean Sea and the Indian Ocean from 25 April to 10 November 2001.
