Metachirini – monotypowe plemię ssaków z podrodziny dydelfów (Didelphinae) w rodzinie dydelfowatych (Didelphidae).

Występowanie

Rodzaj obejmuje gatunki występujące w Ameryce od Meksyku do Argentyny^[6]^[7]^[8].

Morfologia

Długość ciała (bez ogona) 24,5–28 mm, długość ogona 28–36,9 mm; masa ciała 284–480 g^[9].

Systematyka

Etymologia

Metachirus (Metacherius): gr. μετα meta „za”; χειρ kheir, χειρος kheiros „dłoń”^[10].

Podział systematyczny

Do plemienia należy jeden rodzaj z dwoma gatunkami^[6]:

Metachirus nudicaudatus (É. Geoffroy Saint-Hilaire, 1803) – oposowiec nagoogonowy
Metachirus myosuros (Temminck, 1824) – takson wyodrębniony z M. nudicaudatus^[7]
