Mistrzostwa Świata IBSF 2017 były rozgrywane w dniach 17–26 lutego 2017 w niemieckim Königssee[1]. Pierwotnie zawody miały zostać rozegrane w rosyjskim Soczi[2][3] na torze Sanki w Krasnej Polanie, jednakże z powodu trwającego w tym kraju skandalu dopingowego postanowiono o przeniesieniu zawodów[4]. Odbyły się trzy konkurencje bobslejowe, dwie skeletonowe oraz konkurencja mieszana bobslejowo-skeletonowa.
Wybór gospodarza
Decyzję o ogłoszeniu pierwotnego gospodarza podjęto podczas 84. kongresu FIBT w Gdyni. Oprócz Soczi o organizację mistrzostw ubiegali się: niemiecki Altenberg, amerykańskie Lake Placid oraz kanadyjskie Whistler[2].
