Tytuł mistrzów świata po roku przerwy zdobyły Kanadyjki (Heather Houston) pokonując w finale Norweżki (Trine Trulsen) 8:5. Brązowe medale zdobyły Niemki (Andrea Schöpp), które przegrały w półfinale z Kanadą 5:8 i Szwedki (Anette Norberg) pokonane przez Norweżki 5:7.
