18. Mistrzostwa świata w łyżwiarstwie szybkim w wieloboju sprinterskim odbyły się w Sainte-Foy, w Kanadzie, w dniach 31 stycznia – 1 lutego 1987. Zawody rozegrano na sztucznym torze Gaétan Boucher Oval. Zawodnicy dwukrotnie startowali na dystansach 500 i 1000 metrów. Najlepsi byli: po raz szósty reprezentantka NRD Karin Kania oraz po raz drugi Japończyk Akira Kuroiwa.
