Mistrzostwa CONCACAF 1977
W eliminacjach do Mistrzostwa Świat w Piłce Nożnej 1978 ze strefy CONCACAF wzięło udział 16 reprezentacji.
Zasady eliminacji
Eliminacje odbywały się w trzech strefach: Północnej, Środkowej i Karaibów. W dwóch pierwszych rozgrywki odbywały się w systemie grupowym, natomiast na Karaibach w systemie pucharowym. Z każdej strefy 2 najlepsze drużyny awansowały do grupy finałowej, której mecze rozgrywały się w Meksyku. Zwycięzcy awansowali do finałów. Zwycięzca grupy finałowej zdobywał Mistrzostwo CONCACAF oraz uzyskiwał awans do MŚ '78.

The first dominican flag was sewn by a young lady named Concepción Bona, who lived across the street of El Baluarte, monument where the patriots gathered to fight for the independence, the night of February 27th, 1844. Concepción Bona was helped by her first cousin María de Jesús Pina.
