Rzut dyskiem mężczyzn był jedną z konkurencji rozgrywanych podczas V Mistrzostw Europy w Bernie. Kwalifikacje zostały rozegrane 26 sierpnia, a finał 28 sierpnia 1954. Zwycięzcą został po raz trzeci z rzędu Włoch Adolfo Consolini, a wicemistrzem, również po raz trzeci, jego rodak Giuseppe Tosi. W rywalizacji wzięło udział dwudziestu trzech zawodników z siedemnastu reprezentacji.
