Karin Illgen
Rzut dyskiem kobiet był jedną z konkurencji rozgrywanych podczas IX Mistrzostw Europy w Atenach. Rozegrano od razu finał 19 września 1969. Zwyciężczynią tej konkurencji została reprezentantka Związku Radzieckiego Tamara Daniłowa. W rywalizacji wzięło udział dziewięć zawodniczek z pięciu reprezentacji.

Zentralbild Wendorf 10.09.1967 Potsdam: Leichtathletik-Klubpokal-Endkämpfe. Zu den herausragenden Leistungen beim DVfL-Klubpokal der Leichtathleten Endrunde A am 09.09.1967 im Potsdamer Stadion Luftschiffhafen zählte die Siegerweite von 58,08 m durch Karin Illgen (SC Wissenschaft DHfK Leipzig-Foto) im Diskuswerfen der Frauen. Die Leipzigerin gehört zum DDR-Aufgebot für das Europapokalfinale der Frauen am 15.09.1967 im Zentralstadion von Kiew.
