Rzut dyskiem mężczyzn był jedną z konkurencji rozgrywanych podczas IX Mistrzostw Europy w Atenach. Kwalifikacje rozegrano 16 września, a finał 18 września 1969. Zwycięzcą tej konkurencji został reprezentant Niemieckiej Republiki Demokratycznej Hartmut Losch. W rywalizacji wzięło udział dwudziestu zawodników z dwunastu reprezentacji.

Zentralbild Wendorf 24.06.1959 Leichtathletik-Abendsportfest im Jahn-Stadion. Am 24.06.1959 fand im Berliner Friedrich-Ludwig-Jahn Stadion ein Leichtathletik-Abendsportfest statt. In einige Disziplinen mußten noch Ausscheidungen für die Fahrkarte nach London durchgeführte werden. UBz: Beim Diskuswerfen konnte sich Milde den zweiten Platz und damit die Fahrkarte nach London erkämpfen.
