MusiCares Person of the Year jest nagrodą przyznawaną corocznie przez Recording Academy, ta sama organizacja rozdaje nagrody Grammy Award, dla artystów za ich dorobek w przemyśle muzycznym oraz działalność filantropijną. Nazwa nagrody powiązana jest z organizacją non-profit znaną jako MusiCares, założoną przez Akademię "w celu zapewnienia zdrowia i medycznej opieki potrzebującym muzykom". Wybrany przez Fundację MusiCares otrzymuje ją w czasie "weekendu Grammy". Gra wtedy koncert wspomagając fundację w zbieraniu pieniędzy.

It was made up by a random person with no connection to the island, it has never flown on the island, and it has never received any sort of recognition or validation by any authority. The person quoted on that page has no authority to bestow a flag, "unofficial" or otherwise, on the island.
