NAWIRA Women’s Sevens 2006 – drugie mistrzostwa strefy NAWIRA w rugby 7 kobiet, oficjalne międzynarodowe zawody rugby 7 o randze mistrzostw kontynentu organizowane przez North America and West Indies Rugby Association mające na celu wyłonienie najlepszej żeńskiej reprezentacji narodowej w tej dyscyplinie sportu w strefie NAWIRA, które odbyły się wraz z turniejem męskim w Bridgetown na Barbadosie w dniach 11–12 listopada 2006 roku.
Informacje ogólne
W rozegranym na torze wyścigów konnych Garrison Savannah[1] w Bridgetown na Barbadosie turnieju początkowo miało wziąć udział siedem zespołów[2][3], wycofała się jednak drużyna reprezentująca Saint Vincent i Grenadyny. Pozostałych sześć zespołów rywalizowało zatem w ciągu dwóch meczowych dni rywalizowały systemem kołowym. W zawodach bez porażki zwyciężyły zawodniczki USA Development – zaplecza reprezentacji USA[4][5].
Podobnie jak rok wcześniej, już poza turniejem odbyło się spotkanie zespołu USA ze wspólną drużyną Indii Zachodnich[5].

Flag of Jamaica. “The sunshine, the land is green, and the people are strong and bold” is the symbolism of the colours of the flag. GOLD represents the natural wealth and beauty of sunlight; GREEN represents hope and agricultural resources; BLACK represents the strength and creativity of the people. The original symbolism, however, was "Hardships there are, but the land is green, and the sun shineth", where BLACK represented the hardships being faced.
