Order kobiecy
Order kobiecy, order damski, order żeński – order lub odznaczenie przeznaczone wyłącznie dla kobiet, w wyjątkowych przypadkach przyznawane również mężczyznom. Na całym świecie powstało ich bardzo niewiele i do dzisiaj tworzą niewielką grupę[1].
W różnych krajach zaczęto je ustanawiać najwcześniej w XVII wieku, pierwotnie tylko jako odznaczenie honorowe dla arystokratek, później nadawane również za zasługi[2][3], najczęściej za dobroczynność, naukę lub sztukę[1].
Wyjątkowym, pierwszym odznaczeniem nadawanym wyłącznie kobietom był Order Siekiery z 1149 roku[4].
