100 m stylem grzbietowym kobiet – jedna z konkurencji pływackich rozgrywanych podczas XIX Igrzysk Olimpijskich w Meksyku. Eliminacje i półfinały odbyły się 22 października, a finał 23 października 1968 roku.
Złoty medal zdobyła 17-letnia Amerykanka Kaye Hall, ustanawiając nowy rekord świata (1:06,2). Reprezentantka Kanady Elaine Tanner, która przed finałem dwukrotnie poprawiała rekord olimpijski, wywalczyła srebrny medal z czasem 1:06,7. Na najniższym stopniu podium stanęła Jane Swagerty (1:08,1) ze Stanów Zjednoczonych, wyprzedzając swoją rodaczkę Kendis Moore o 0,2 s.
